“E Z Lift” Arm Finding
a Market:
January 2005 - Globe Stampings’ new E Z
Lift height adjustable work surface mechanism is finding acceptance
in the markets it is perusing,” says company President, Alan
Jones“. We have had a good response in the Canadian marketplace
and expect a similar reception in the U.S. “
The EZ Lift arm is simple in design and function, and is cost
effective. It has passed the BIFMA secondary and primary work
surface load tests, and is one of the few units available on
the market that has achieved this.
The arm’s design and function has been patented in both
the U.S. and Canada , with patents pending in other parts of
the world.
The EZ Lift design allows for flexibility in both the size
of the secondary worksurface, as well as vertical height adjustment.
Similar standard units do achieve the BIFMA height parameters
above and below the primary worksurface but clients who, have
operating limits beyond these height adjustment standards, will
find the E Z Lift capable of providing these vertical adjustment
requirements. This is something the competition cannot do easily.
The arm has a low profile below the worksurface to minimize
operator interference and maximize knee space. The tubular design
allows for the operating mechanism to be hidden and out of the
way. The streamlined tubular frame design also eliminates pinch
points during operation.
The height adjustment is a simple paddle activated system with
an infinite range. The unit also provides a tilt adjust range
of + or – 15 degrees by using a lever actuator, if the
operator so requires.
“We expect a very favorable reception to our product
once we get it to the market, says Jones. “This is not
a ”me too” product, but a next generation design
to provide a simple, efficient, cost effective solution to the ‘sit
stand’ applications. We are quite excited about this product
launch, and believe we are providing a superior alternative to
the existing market.”
